Check the Permission Path Before Picking a Standard Agent

Bring three contact-permission cases to standard-agent setup and verify how the selected flow handles each exception.

A ready-made inbound flow can solve a familiar job: reception, booking, or support intake. It cannot define your business’s permission to send later promotional calls or texts. Before selecting a package, write down what the caller asked for and what follow-up you plan to send.

Choose the job, then the message

If the line books appointments, identify whether the next message is a requested booking update, a reminder, or an offer. If the line captures leads, identify who replies and by which channel. Use the business’s reviewed wording for any permission question; do not let a generic template decide it.

Keep exceptions out of guesswork

A caller may provide a phone number but decline texts, or request a callback and then ask to stop. Decide where the record of that preference goes and who can correct it. When the standard path cannot handle an exception clearly, assign a human owner rather than promising automated compliance.

Work through one case

Illustrative: Bring a booking request, a request for a phone reply without texts, and an unclear follow-up request to setup. Ask which the standard flow can represent and how the unresolved case reaches a person. Verify the answers against the selected configuration before relying on it.

Selecting an inbound package does not authorize outbound messages or establish that SMS is included. Check the actual scope and the requirements for any separately planned follow-up.

Apply the questions to this example

Illustrative worked example: These sample notes extend the case above. Roles and record locations are proposed for the example, not descriptions of a customer or this brand’s configured service. Adapt them to your own process.

Step Question Sample evidence, owner, and next action
1 Which inbound job is the package for? Booking-request intake in this example; setup owner checks whether the selected configuration represents that job.
2 Which later message is actually necessary? Review the requested booking reply; do not assume an automated text or promotional message is included or authorized.
3 Who resolves a missing or withdrawn preference? Designated intake reviewer: handle the no-text and unclear-request cases, then verify the configured handoff.

Put the next step in writing

Use the first-flow setup guide to bring three real call types to the discussion. The right package begins with the right job and a clear boundary for follow-up.

Use these cases to ask better setup questions. A package selection and this checklist do not approve a messaging program; verify the selected scope and the rules for your planned follow-up.
